As part of a tour of the Executive Committee of Altice Portugal to Alto Alentejo, Altice Labs signed a collaboration protocol with the Polytechnic Institute of Portalegre (IPP) and another with the Alentejo Science and Technology Park (PACT), thus extending the entities group of the National Scientific and Technological System with which it is related and that constitute one of the sustentation pillars of Altice Labs’ Innovation Ecosystem.

PACT is an infrastructure for hosting and supporting initiatives for the promotion and transfer of R&TD within the Regional Technology Transfer System. It aims to support the development and modernization of existing companies, encouraging the implementation of innovative business projects. It plays a facilitating and stimulating role, promoting the proximity between the business and the scientific community.

Similar to the protocols with other Higher Education Institutions, the goal is to develop joint research projects with the IPP, to promote internships and participate in the adaptation of curriculums to the market needs, in addition to the possibility for Altice Labs collaborators to promote workshops and share knowledge about the technologies of future communications networks.

If on the one hand, Altice contributes with knowledge and solutions, on the other hand, the partnership empowers the sharing of knowledge that exists outside the organization. "Our success in developing state-of-the-art technological solutions for the domestic and international industry is also due to the connection with academia, science parks and partners working in this ecosystem", says Alcino Lavrador.
